Mary has spent more than 40 years in education as a teacher, department leader, curriculum developer, trainer, consultant, and speaker. She taught high school Spanish for 35 years in an IB school, in the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme, and has served the IB as an examiner, reader, visitor, and workshop leader.
She believes concept-based education is the key to making meaning and enabling transfer, and that assessment should be authentic and applicable to the real world.
