Concept-based Instruction
Unpacking the Structure of Knowledge
But I have all this content to cover.
So, how is it possible to teach concepts when there is so much material to cover in class? The secret is understanding how H. Lynn Erickson's structure of knowledge, combined with the backward design of Wiggins and McTighe and the upper levels of the revised Bloom's taxonomy, provides a structure for teaching for understanding and transfer.
This workshop is best delivered over two, two and one-half, or three days.
